Watch out, this concept is amazing! We've found you a spot full of good vibes in the Hauts-de-Seine, and to discover it, you'll need to head to Saint-Cloud, near Suresnes and within easy reach of the Navigo pass. To discover it, go to 5Avenue de Longchamps and push open the doors of Lovebird, a truly cozy cocoon where you'll feel right at home. In a comforting atmosphere, you can sit down at a table or sink into a sofa to discover the tempting menu of this bar-restaurant to the rhythm of a playlist featuring hits from the 90s.
At lunchtime, you can enjoy seasonal cuisine inspired by flavors from around the world with a three-course menu for $34. In the evening, it's time for sharing plates, ideal for those who can't make up their minds and want to try a little bit of everything! In addition to these inspired recipes, Lovebird is best known for its astrological cocktails, with a menu inspired by tarot cards.
The concept may seem familiar to some, and that's perfectly normal: the first location was originally in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. The restaurant then moved to Saint-Cloud to a larger but equally welcoming location. For her astral cocktails, Camille, the owner and talented mixologist, drew inspiration from the characteristics attributed to the different signs to create original and evolving recipes. You can choose according to your astrological sign or whatever takes your fancy!
During our evening visit, we took inspiration from our own astrological signs to choose our cocktails. For Leo, there was a creation made with rum, lemon, pineapple liqueur, homemade bissap with mild spices, and raspberry boba. Very fruity, this brightly colored cocktail makes an impression on the palate and awakens the taste buds with its zing. For Scorpio, there was a recipe full of character and a touch of controversy behind the sign: vodka infused with chili pepper, lemon, yuzu, cucumber, and cilantro. The result was a well-balanced cocktail, not too sweet, with a very slight kick.

We were more than full after ordering five tapas dishes for two people. During our visit, we tried the coxinhas, Brazilian croquettes filled with shredded chicken and accompanied by a spicy (but not too spicy!) sauce, reflecting the chef's origins. Beneath a golden, slightly crispy coating lies a generous, flavorful filling with melt-in-the-mouth chicken: a must for finger food lovers.
For comfort food, the rigatoni with mushrooms, sake, and Grana Padano is a real treat with its creamy pasta. Here again, they don't skimp on the toppings! As for the beef tacos, served in threes, this is a simpler but still effective recipe with well-seasoned ground beef, tomato sauce, grilled corn, and onion pickles.
That said, it must be said that the real strength of Lovebird's cuisine is the way it elevates vegetables. The restaurant even has the audacity to reconcile us with some of them. If you're willing to give Brussels sprouts a chance, for example, you'll discover them roasted, almost au gratin, yet melt-in-the-mouth. Forget the bitterness we usually associate with them, here they are balanced with Greek yogurt, pomegranate seeds, citrus fruits, and sumac.

We also love the roasted carrots with ras el hanout, labneh, feta, pink peppercorns, roasted hazelnuts, and orange zest. Please note that this dish contains cilantro, so be sure to ask for it without if you are one of those who cannot tolerate it. The recipe is very representative of the DNA of Lovebird's cuisine: a love of vegetables and international influencers.
For dessert, there is always something creative on the menu, and the restaurant even offers its own gourmet champagne, a festive alternative to the traditional gourmet coffee. For our part, we were tempted by the lemon curd, candied ginger, and almond pavlova. This dessert is full of energy, with the tartness cleverly offsetting the sweetness of the meringue. However, those with sensitive palates should beware, as it contains fresh candied ginger, which has a very strong flavor.
Another thing we love about Lovebird is that families are just as welcome as groups of friends, both at lunchtime and in the evening. The restaurant can make parents and children alike fall in love with vegetables and is a haven of friendliness and kindness. However, you'll need to be prepared to think outside the box, let yourself be carried away by the spirit of discovery, and break away from the conventional.
Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, please drink responsibly.
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
