It was the last missing piece of the puzzle... After Naples, London, New York, Los Angeles and Amsterdam, the legendary Antica Pizzeria Da Michele is finally bringing its wood-fired oven to Paris. The eagerly-awaited opening at 19 rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine(Paris 11th) takes place this Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 6pm.
More than an address, it's a myth. Since 1870, the Condurro family has been kneading the same passion and the same dough, handed down from generation to generation. In 1906, Michele Condurro opened his first pizzeria in Naples. In 1930, it moved to Via Cesare Sersale, where it still stands, bearing the nickname "Temple of Pizza". Five generations later, the recipe has not changed: simple, natural, organic ingredients, dough leavened as on the first day, and above all two absolute stars - the Marinara and the Margherita.
In fact, it's in this Neapolitan house that Julia Roberts croons, in Mange, Prie, Aime, the cult phrase: "I'm having a relationship with this pizza". Nothing could be truer: here, pizza is experienced like a romance, with no embellishments or betrayals, just authentic taste.
Ranked as a "Pizza Mecca" by the New York Times, Da Michele attracts endless queues wherever it sets up shop. Paris will no doubt be no exception: the Bastille will be scented with the perfume of Naples, with pizzas that are XXL, scorching hot and divinely simple.
