Is Christophe Adam about to create the buzz? After opening about nine Éclair de Génie shops throughout Paris, including the pioneer one nestled in rue Pavée, Christophe Adam sets himself a new challenge with Depôt Légal, soon to be open.
Nestled in the capital’s 2nd arrondissement, this new gourmet address will invite Parisians and tourists to enjoy savory and sweet recipes created by the chef himself.
With a simple but effective motto “Made With Love”, Dépôt Légal is likely to arouse the curiosity of many gourmets thanks to a friendly and excellent cuisine based on homemade and fresh products.
This new place offers 4 savoring highlights providing a gourmet menu: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and a pre-dinner treat.
For breakfast served between 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., bread slices from Benoît Castel are toasted, the granola is homemade, waffles are cooked on order, you can eat the famous kouign amann, a smoothie bowl served with fresh fruits and cereals and you will enjoy a large choice of hot drinks: Lomi coffee and Kodama tea as well as freshly squeezed juices.
For lunch, served from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Chef gives pride of place to quality products: a delicious and ultra-fresh salmon or sea bream ceviche cooked on the spot, the tasty croque Vivienne with truffle-infused cream cheese, jambon de Paris and Beaufort cheese, the creamy burrata served in a can, the cold candied ginger salmon or the big toasté with ham, chicken or salmon served like hot sandwiches. If you feel a bit peckish, a crunchy salad based on sprouts, mixed grains, kale cabbage and parmesan shavings. You can also go for the poke bowl with fresh tuna, mango, avodaco, wholegrain rice seasoned with a cilantro vinaigrette.
Gourmet people are likely to enjoy the afternoon break served between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. On the menu? A giant profiterole served with a creamy chocolate sauce directly coming from a chocolate fountain, as well as the mini rum babas served in a bento box and homemade rum infused with citrus fruits. To make it even more perfect you should dip the baba in the whipped cream or taste the caramelize apple terrine…
Finally for the pre dinner treat, starting from 6 p.m., make way to the cocktails (Gin Gin Mule, the Petit-Champ with vodka, strawberry and pepper, the Spritz…), served – if you want – with mini-sardine cans, brioche bread with natural charcoal and served with truffle-infused taramasalata or the croque finger, a croque-monsieur (or grilled cheese) with ham and summer truffle!
For this new gourmet place, Christophe Adam is helped by the young chef Nicolas Freyche, the female pastry chef Laure, the barista and roaster Gabriel and the female barmaid Annabelle.
You can come every day and all day long, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., to have breakfast, lunch, for a snack or to have a pre-dinner treat. Depôt Legal will sure gain popularity among people already addicted to Christophe Adam’s creative cooking!
As a memo, the place also features a shop corner offering 6 ranges of 30 products created and prepared by the chef himself. You will find a selection of products under the Dépôt Légal label, so you can treat friends and family that are not taking part in your trip.
