A 100% plant-based bakery-patisserie has just opened in Paris 11th arrondissement and we owe it to Rodolphe and Yoshimi Landemaine.
Named Land&Monkeys, this bakery revisits traditional baking to respect the living and the planet with 100% plant-based but flavorful recipes, to go against the preconceptions about veganism!
Here, neither eggs nor butter and even less cream and butter; but organic, local and seasonal ingredients, thoroughly selected like flours from Moulins de Brasseur cultivated less than 200km from Paris and coming from organic farming, or from Valrhona supporting programs leading access to education for their local producers in Ghana.
Breads, viennoiseries, pastries, snacking, delicatessen items and drinks fill Land&Monkeys stalls up and are for all handmade French bakery fans, whether they are vegan or not!
So, will you have a plant-based croissant, cookie, mille-feuile, quiche or croque-monsieur?
In addition to excluding any animal-based ingredient (meat, milk, eggs, honey and so on), Land&Monkneys team promises to donate 2% of its profits to charities protecting animals. And this is such a green flag!
