Craving some sunrays while gazing at Paris and the Eiffel Tower? Run to Musée Guimet opening for the second time its panoramic terrace as soon as the museum reopens on May 19, 2021. A one-of-its-kind rooftop reminding us of the “deck of great transatlantic liners”, open all summer long until 6 p.m., expected to return every year for Asian art fans and lovers of fantastic views.
On the menu of this gorgeous terrace, we hope we will be able to enjoy the ice-cream parlor from 2020 providing you with a range of delighting flavors, for an open-air tasting and a well-deserved break after roaming around the museum. To get to the summer terrace, head to the third floor of the museum to enjoy the views. Yet, please note the terrace sets up health guidelines, the same as for visiting the place’s permanent and temporary collections.
Make the most of it to discover the surrounding flora including plants and flowers, all coming from Asia. Mandatory facemasks, hand-sanitizer available, social distancing, and other preventive measures are part of the instructions to follow for everyone’s safety. And for all those who like to stay cool, make the best of it to discover the two current exhibitions, namely the Marc Riboud exhibition and the retrospective focusing on the Bamiyan site. Let’s go, friends, shall we?
