The renowned Paris Semi-Marathon made a triumphant return on Sunday, March 8, 2026! Determined runners gathered at the Place de la Bastille to kick off the race, which took them across the heart of the city for over 21 kilometers. An impressive achievement for many participants, and a golden opportunity for elite athletes to set new record times. Cheered on by hundreds of early supporters, runners alongside the Seine before venturing into the Vincennes Woods.

Never doubt the determination of the crowd — this Sunday, a record-breaking 50,000 brave athletes took on the Paris semi-marathon. Once again, it was Kennedy Kimmutai, the talented Kenyan runner, who claimed victory on the course with a remarkable time of 1:00:11, just slightly better than last year. Closely behind him, his fellow Kenyan Timothy Misoi finished in 1:00:39, while South African Thabang Mosiako crossed the line at 1:00:42.

Among the French competitors, Victor Moreau is making a strong impression this morning, finishing in 9th place with a time of 1:03:14. He is closely followed by Igor Bougnot, who claims 10th place with a time of 1:03:16.

On the women's side, Ethiopian runner Ftaw Zeray claimed victory, setting a new course record with a time of 1 hour, 5 minutes, and 12 seconds. On the podium, Ugandan athlete Sarah Chelangat secured second place in 1:06:29, while Kenyan Mercy Chepwogen finished third, matching Chelangat's time. The top French finisher was Katia Raoult, who came in 11th in 1:15:33, followed closely by Cloe Hotte in 13th position.

The 2026 Paris Half Marathon showcased impressive performances from both male and female athletes, highlighting the competitive spirit and dedication of those taking on this must-attend event on the global road racing calendar.

  4. Emile Hafashimana (Burundi) finished in 1h01'04"
  5. Isaac Kimeli (Belgium) posted a time of 1h01'30"

Women :

  1. Ftaw Zeray from Ethiopia finished in 1h05'12
  2. Sarah Chelangat from Uganda clocked in at 1h06'29
  3. Mercy Chepwogen from Kenya also completed in 1h06'29
  4. Jackline Cherono from Kenya crossed the line in 1h08'23
  5. Esme Davies from the United Kingdom finished in 1h11'28
