La Parisienne will only return to Paris in 2021. As the health situation is still uncertain, the organization of La Parisienne has cancelled the 24th edition of the race said to take place from September 11 to 13, 2020.
By the way, La Parisienne explains its decision: there are too many uncertainties as for the events planned in early September. In a release, they say "the absolute priority was to keep runners, volunteers, and supporters safe" and the decision was obvious.
Moreover, La Parisienne says "authorities delivering authorizations and necessary services are not able to give an answer today as they lack visibility" and that "the current health conditions do not allow us to deploy a friend, warm, and close plan". The organization adds "every people who signed up will get an email with modalities as for the edition 2021".
As it happens every year, La Parisienne, considered as the biggest female running race in Europe, was to gather thousands of women in the streets of Paris. They all are ready to beat the Parisian tarmac for the pleasure of running and discovering or rediscovering the most beautiful city in the world.
This year, the event was scheduled from September 11 to 13, 2020. A special edition since this year, the Roaring Twenties were to come to the heart of the French capital. Runners, no matter if they were amateurs or skilled, were expected on Sunday September 11, from 9:30 a.m. (parasport start) on the course of La Parisienne. A course covering about 7 kilometers (4 miles 61) in the heart of Paris, and running through the Champs Elysées including two supplies spots. The route has not yet been announced.
For its 24th edition, we discover new races such as the 5km walk, the 7km Run regulars already know but most of all, the new 10km Run. A longer race that will delight skiled runners. New on the menu too: a discount in case you purchase several bibs. So, when you buy 2 to 4 bibs, you'll get three extra euros per bib and 5 eurors from 5 bibs purchased.
Then, meet from September 11 to 13, 2020 for the 24th edition of La Parisienne. 3 days of running, music and surprises expect you on Friday September 11 and Saturday 12 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and of course on Sunday September 13 at 3 p.m. The festival village will be set on the Champs de Mars.
