Bad news for users of metro line 9. On Sunday September 3, 2023, traffic will be completely interrupted on this famous Paris metro line, which runs between Mairie de Montreuil and Pont de Sèvres. We tell you all about this 24-hour closure.

Throughout the year, public transport in Paris is affected by roadworks. Transilien and RER lines are particularly affected, as are several more occasional metro lines. On Sunday, September 3, 2023, line 9 of the Paris metro will be affected.

Specifically, on Sunday September 3, 2023, line 9 will be completely closed all day, meaning that no trains will run on this metro line"due to modernization work", as RATP states on its website.

RATP adds that all lines connecting closed stations remain accessible and open to passengers. Thus,"only stations with no connecting lines are completely closed to passengers. For other stations, only the platforms on line 9 are closed", explains the Régie.

To help passengers with their journey, RATP is once again providing a bus service. This runs in both directions between Pont de Sèvres and Michel-Ange - Auteuil, then between Nation and Mairie de Montreuil. These buses will operate at the same times as the metro,"with a run every 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the time of day", explains the company. Stopping points will be indicated at the entrances to the stations served.

Users can also take other lines, such as buses 22 and 52 to the west. To the east, they can take metro line 3 or bus N°102.
