This fall, there will be a flurry of underground construction work. Every year, the RATP takes advantage of this period, marked by the All Saints' Day holidays and several public holidays, to carry out work. In November 2025, no fewer than four Paris metro lines will be affected by this work. These include line 9, which will be disrupted from November 8 to 11 inclusive, line 12, with service suspended between Montparnasse-Bienvenüe and Mairie d'Issy for seven days, and line 14, which will be completely closed on two occasions.
Metro line 13 will also be affected by disruptions. On its website, the RATP has announced the closure of a stationon line 13 for five consecutive days in November. So, which station is it? Varenne station, between Invalides and Saint-François-Xavier, will be closed to passengers from November 26 to 30, 2025, inclusive. During this period, trains will not stop at Varenne station "in order to adapt the infrastructure to the future MF19 rolling stock."
It should be noted that the MF19, the new-generation metro, is to be deployed on eight Paris metro lines. On line 10, the very first train of this new-generation metro arrived on October 16. In the coming years, other metro lines will also benefit from the comfort and accessibility of the MF19, including line 13. Its deployment on this famous metro line is scheduled for 2027. In the meantime, work is necessary, as will be the case from November 26 to 30, 2025, at Varenne station, which will be closed for the occasion.
