In Paris, the National Day offers a wealth of celebrations, from the military parade in the morning of July 14, to the traditional fireworks, via the grand concert and the glut of firefighters' or popular balls across the capital. But this year, the celebrations will not take place on Bastille Day itself, exceptionally in homage to the Nice attacks. It is July 13 that the fireworks will be launched from the Eiffel Tower, so don't get the day wrong!

To secure the area, traffic and parking bans have, of course, been issued by decree by the Paris Police Prefecture, along with the closure of metro stations near the Eiffel Tower and the celebration venues. The RATP thus announces disruptions starting at 6 p.m. on several lines, meaning visitors planning to watch the fireworks will need to plan their trips accordingly.
