A new place to be discovered, the Atelier des Lumières is about to rock Paris 11th arrondissement with a Digital art center set in a former smelting plant from the 19th century. For its opening, Atelier des Lumières will offer a 30-minute immersion into Gustave Klimt’s work thanks to over 120 video-projectors! Meet on April 13, 2018…

The former iron foundry created in 1835 by the PLICHON family is getting a makeover with Culturespaces.

After months of works, this spring 2018, the foundry will become the Atelier des Lumières, the first Digital art center featuring 120 video-projectors and a spatial discrete audio (50 Nexo speakers with controlled directivity) for immersive exhibitions like Imagine Van Gogh at the Grande Halle de la Villette.

As Bruno Monnier explains: ‘The role of an art center is to decompartmentalize, and that is why digital technology is so important in twenty-first-century exhibitions. Used for creative purposes, it has become a formidable vector for dissemination, and is capable of creating links between eras, add dynamism to artistic practices, amplify emotions, and reach the largest possible audience’.

The first exhibition to experience in Paris, Klimt and Vienna, staging over 3,000 pictures put in movement following the AMIEX® process. We cross over 100 years of Viennese painting through the pictorial work of Gustav Klimt (1862-1918), Egon Schiele (1890-1918) and Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000) thanks to a breathtaking visual and sound show.

Paris Foundry is the 2nd place to enjoy the AMIEX® process (Art & Music Immersive Experience) with the Carrières de Lumières in Baux-de-Provence. Totally immersed in the picture and music, the visitor is carried away in a sensorial adventure renewing the approach to the biggest names in the history of art.

While the public opening is planned on April 13, 2018, will visit the place on April 11, 2018. We expect you on April 11 for our review!

We already love it!
