Contemporary artists are delving into our digital lives and identities through the exhibition Me and Others, showcased free of charge at the EDF Foundation from March 13 to September 27, 2026.

In just a few decades, our daily lives, routines, and very way of living have been transformed completely. Internet and its myriad applications have revolutionized our societies—and at times, even our identities. The EDF Foundation has brought together 23 French and international artists to explore the profound impact of the Internet and social media on humanity. This thought-provoking free exhibition will be open to visitors from March 13 to September 27, 2026.

The exhibition Me and Others challenges our relationship with these new technologies and explores how they can transform our self-perception, our interactions with others, and the societal shifts they bring about.

Notifications, likes, followers, dating apps, forums, discussion networks, job search platforms, online encyclopedias, videos... Many facets of our daily lives have been transformed by the rise of new technologies. We no longer meet people the way we used to, gather information as we once did, or interact with strangers in the same manner. Is this a positive change, or a cause for concern?

Contemporary artists from the EDF Foundation don't aim to pass judgment: they observe, highlight, and illustrate our evolving habits. Without taking sides, they provide a nuanced view of the emerging standard that is the modern digital world.

The exhibition is greatly enhanced by the contributions of scientists and sociologists, who examine these real and virtual worlds. Again, the goal isn't to pit them against each other: instead, the display explores their connections, how they complement or challenge each other, and the ways in which each influences our lives, behaviors, and identities.

This exhibition emphasizes that behind every profile and digital interaction, there is a human being—an individual with a story and feelings. Artists and scientists alike remind us that beyond the screens, there are real people.

The EDF Foundation promises an exciting exhibition on a pressing current issue. Be sure to experience it in person to truly engage with the exhibit.
