You think you know everything about the Eiffel Tower? The latter is yet full of surprises! The Tower enjoys a new decoration: artist Invader has set one of his small mosaic aliens on the iconic monument in Paris. Since Thursday November 7, you can go and track invaders on the floors of the Eiffel Tower.
The new work by French artist Invader should likely touch a bigger public. French mosaic-artist has set his latest creation at the Eiffel Tower, for the greatest happiness of tourists and visitors. The small alien to discover is called PA_1431. It’s the 1431st invader to come to Paris. They are all marked on a map updated by the artist. Following it, you can go for a big paper chase in Paris, looking for these invaders.
But who is and what is Invader? You have already walked by one of these works without knowing who was behind them. The street artist puts his mosaics on walls in over 70 cities in the world for 20 years. He’s been inspired by videogame Space Invader, released in 1978. Small pixelized aliens take part in the great invasion conducted by the French artist who went into street art so that everyone can enjoys art.
The Eiffel Tower want to share his works with everyone coming to visit it. In 2015, for the COP21, artist Obey settled a giant sphere between the 1st floor and the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower. In 2018, it’s artist ZEVS who lit the monument with his work Eiffel Phoenix. Invader alien is set for a while. Don’t hesitate and greet it the next time you go to the Eiffel Tower or to the Bulle Parisienne!
