Paris-Plages is back from July 18 to late August 2020 by the Seine and the Bassin de la Villette. Because of coronavirus, this year will be different according to Anne Hidalgo, but still as festive. Floating movie theater, concerts by the Orchestre de chambre de Paris, as well as entertainments, swimming sessions, and relaxation... Here is the program of Paris-Plages expecting you all summer long.

This is now a highly awaited event: Paris Plages is coming this year again for even more relaxation, sun, and ice creams by the water. From July 18 to August 30, 2020, the Seine riverbanks and the bassin de La Villette expect you for a beautiful summer in Paris, keeping barrier gestures.

This year's Paris Plage will be a bit special. Anne Hidalgo said on RTL this Thursday June 11: "Many Parisians will not got on holidays. Many visitors might come to Paris, especially visitors from other French regions rather than abroad, and we really want to welcome them, and keep this festive spirit up in Paris". Paris mayor yet warns this edition will be "a bit different" because of the health crisis.

Bassin de la Villette

Once again, Paris-Plages turns the Bassin de la Villette into a beach resort. This year, entertainments focus on sport with swimming, kayaking, energetic arts. Visitors can also play table soccer and boules.

For the youngest, many entertainments and playgrounds will be available with the kids' club, Ludomouv', the famous zipline and meetings provided by the Bibliothèques Hors les Murs.

Anne Hidalgo guarantees "on the Bassin de la Villette, I wanted to give a positive answer to all restaurateurs who asked us to settle in by the pool to work". Let's enjoy ice creams, crêpes, nice small restaurants, and other wonders to eat by the water.
