Provins medieval city, listed as Unesco World Heritage, welcomes you all summer long to make you discover the world of falconry. Come along and attend the show “Eagles of the Remparts”, a show with horses and falcons unique in Europe.
The show 2019 is called "Grande fresque sur l'Art de la fauconnerie à cheval" [A major saga about the art of horse-back falconry] and can be discovered at the Théâtre des Remparts in Provins from March 30 to November 3, 2019.

For 50 minutes, successive scenes take you to the universe of the falconry, the steppes from Central Asia without forgetting the Middle-East and all the way to medieval lords. You can then discover the fascinating flying skills of birds of prey.
Be amazed by how majestic eagles are, how agile hawks and kites are, how quick falcons are, discover the elegance of the Serpent Eagles, the smooth flight of owls and vultures' gliding...
This year, new atmospheres and surprises await you!
This prodigious air ballet with flying raptors, in harmony with horses, donkeys and camels will leave unforgettable marks in children's and adults' memories.
At the end of the show, a tour of one of the greatest aviaries in France, housing about a hundred birds and over 30 different species! Informative cards, discovery booklet and store.
For 4,000 years, falconry, an ancestral way to hunt, is practiced throughout the whole world. This art of hunting in flight knew its peak in the Middle-Ages and has been passed down from generation to generation.
This tradition respecting the nature and the environment, passed down from generation to generation, is registered as an Unesco intangible cultural heritage.
