Môments, the family spot for an afternoon out in Versailles

In a small street adjacent to the Versailles Chantiers RER and Transilien station, you'll find Môment's, a family concept where children of all ages can take refuge in summer or winter.

Môment's is a café, playground and workshop. And behind all these functions to accompany children and parents on a daily basis are Pauline and Clara, two passionate sisters-in-law, who inaugurated the place last May.

"When I had my children, I was looking for places to go out with newborns, to meet people, find activities for the kids," explains Clara. Now a mother of two and pregnant with her third, she and Pauline, also a mother, created Môment's in her own image: a welcoming place where you can take a break from your grueling daily life as a parent, to take some time for yourself, or watch your child develop in the various workshops.

At Môment's, there's only one rule: no shoes on the premises. For the rest, just enjoy the space. The play area can be adapted to suit all tastes: wooden huts for playing the dinette, the doctor, a doll's house, construction games, play mats, manipulative games... Totally adapted to children aged 0 to 6. Behind it, there's even a creative activity room for quietly drawing, coloring and creating. Access to the play area costs €10 per child, and you get one free when you buy a 10-entry pass.

For older children, Môment's offers expert medical consultations, including osteopaths, chiropractors, a lactation nurse, a reflexologist, a relaxation therapist, peri-natal support... "Môment's is a resource center where parents can vent their feelings of isolation and ask questions about parenthood. So Môment's is a place where they can get information, find out what's going on and get together with their children.

In the basement, the workshop room hosts various sessions of baby gym, baby art, baby sign, musical awakening, children's yoga... Or adult classes, such as pre- and post-natal yoga, pilates or parenting workshops like babywearing, sophrology, etc.

While the kids play, parents, grandparents and carers can take a break in thecafé area: the menu includes French fruit juices, hot drinks (teas, coffees, lattes) and, above all, a whole range of homemade cakes for snacks and light meals, whatever the time of day. The cakes are prepared by a pastry chef from Versailles, and although the recipes change regularly, it's impossible to resist the delicious lemon cake with its tangy icing, the regressive apple cake topped with salted butter caramel, the moist carrot cake or the marbré, a children's favorite. Alternatively, there are the excellent cookies from Pierre&Tim, also based in Versailles, enough to satisfy the whole family.
