Fête de la Pomme 2025: fun workshops and gourmet tastings at Ferme de Gally (78)

On September 20 and 21, 2025, the Ferme de Gally in Saint-Cyr l'Ecole, in the Yvelines department, is organizing a major Apple Festival, at a time when the harvest of this fruit is in full swing. So, to celebrate this moment in style, come and pick kilos of apples and take part in fun, gourmet workshops based around this autumn fruit.

It's time for the whole family to come and discover or rediscover the beautiful Ferme de Gally, from the pick-your-own garden where you can unearth many varieties of seasonal vegetables, fruit and flowers, to the educational farm and small woodland. There's also a huge market selling products from the farm and local producers, as well as an area specially designed for workshops.

The program

• Guillaume Tell workshop: Test your skill by aiming at an apple placed on the head of a straw dummy, with the help of a bow adapted for children.
• Angling workshop: Don't look for little ducks, here it's apples you'll have to catch with your fishing rod.
• Apple juice workshop: Cueillette de Gally apples are turned into juice when children operate the grugette and press.
• Smoothie Bike: Pedal your bike to make your own apple smoothie.
• Clay workshop: create mini apples (or pears) in clay.
• Wreath workshop: using wheat ears, dried flowers, apple branches and apples, create pretty wreaths to decorate your home for autumn (€3 extra per person if adults participate).

Workshops are offered continuously, without prior registration, with limited places per session from 10am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 4:30pm. Don't miss gourmet tastings of various varieties of apples from Cueillette de Gally, apple/cinnamon compotes, baked apples, Gally jams (fig or strawberry) and a "Thyme Bar", herbal teas created with fresh aromatic plants from the farm. And don't forget an animal care session at 5.30pm.
