Le Bossu de Notre-Dame, a family show at Gaité Montparnasse until May 5, 2024

After four years of triumph at Théâtre de la Gaîté and Théâtre Antoine, discover or rediscover this already cult show at Gaité Montparnasse from October 9, 2022 to May 1, 2023, accessible to the whole family from age 4 upwards.

Oscillating between theater, musical comedy and commedia dell'arte, Olivier Solivérès' adaptation of Le Bossu de Notre-Dame at the Théâtre de la Gaité Montparnasse is a delightful experience for young and old alike. You'll find the touching story of Quasimodo, a hunchbacked bellringer, greedy and deaf as a post, living in the 15th century. For as long as he can remember, he has lived in the great cathedral overlooking the city, Notre-Dame, under the authority of Frollo, a terrible but undeniably powerful character. Frollo is in love with a gypsy girl, Esmeralda, and asks Quasimodo to bring her back to him... But this is without counting on the unexpected arrival of a valiant knight, Phoebus, and the rebellion of Quasimodo, who soon becomes Esmeralda's friend...

This universal story has never ceased to fascinate young and old alike: now a Disney cartoon, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame is a classic among classics, all the more so with the success of the musical Notre Dame de Paris in 1998. Performances of Le Bossu de Notre Dame at Gaité Montparnasse will run from October 8, 2023 to May 5, 2024, every Sunday at 11am during school holidays. During the vacation season, performances will be held from Monday to Saturday, at 2pm or 4:30pm.
