Exploradôme, the interactive science and digital museum in Vitry-sur-Seine (94)

Based in Vitry-sur-Seine since 2009, Exploradôme is an interactive science and digital museum where visitors are invited to discover and experiment with a wide range of scientific concepts in a fun way.

In all, some fifty modules, known here as 'manips', are available for children and their parents to understand phenomena such as optical illusions, climate, energy and movement. Like works of art, these installations are waiting to be awakened and touched by your hands. With a touch, you can create a puff of smoke, blow up a tornado, fix your shadow on the wall or test the weightlessness of a balloon.

Once you've made your way up to the second floor, you'll discover the temporary exhibition space, which always combines science and social facts. Throughout the year,Exploradôme also offers individual and group workshops on a variety of subjects, including cooking, computing, mechanics and biology. Both fun and educational, Exploradôme has it all. Children learn, experiment and have fun at the same time!

The facility also organizes birthday parties for children and their friends. Depending on the age of the group, children set off on an adventure, either as adventurers on a treasure hunt, or as scientific treasure hunters and detectives. They then complete a workshop such as "flying machine", "illusionist kit", "jet car"... From €170 to €245 depending on the formula, the package includes entertainment, cake, drinks and sweets. Exploradôme is open from Tuesday to Saturday during school holidays (10am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 5:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, as well as Wednesdays from 10am to 6pm and Saturdays from 10:30am to 6pm), and all week during public vacations(1pm to 6pm only).Admission is €8full price, €6 concessions for under-18s, and children under 4 are free. For families, there's also a special pass for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children), for €24. The building is fully accessible to people with reduced mobility.
