Parc Astérix continues to win over more and more fans every year. After welcoming the now-famous Oziris attraction in 2012, the Idefix Forest and its children's rides in 2014, and new shows in 2015, the park puts Obelix in the spotlight with the opening of Discobelix - a Disk'O-style family attraction.
Located in the Greek zone, the attraction will take place between "The River of Elis" and "Zeus' Thunder". Created by Gianbattista Zambelli and built by Zamperla, this type of attraction was named "Best New Attraction" by theIAAPA in 2006.
What exactly is it? Imagine a giant disc on which forty or so passengers straddle outwards. The platform travels on a 92-metre track, turning on itself. It moves back and forth at speeds ranging from 30 to 70 km/h. Height difference and centrifugal force - that's what's in store for this new season at Parc Astérix.
Discover the first images of the flagship attraction"Discobélix", which will cause a sensation when it re-opens, and which is currently being tested on mannequins.
All you have to do is wait a few months to try it out and turn some heads!
