Parc Astérix, the Idefix forest

Comrade Gaul, Parc Astérix, the favorite park of mustachians, is back from April 12 to November 2, 2014 with plenty of new attractions to charm us. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, not 1 but 5 attractions await you in the brand-new universe named La Forêt d'Idefix.

After delighting the young and bold with the arrival of theOziris universe, the park has decided to strengthen its offering for families by opening a new play area covering almost 5,000 m2.

What better way to represent the children's village than with a cute little Idefix? Our furry little friend chose to take over the forest (without uprooting a single oak tree, because he's very eco-friendly) with the help of the druids.

The Idefix Forest, just a stone's throw from the Gaulish Village, will feature 5 new attractions for children aged 3 to 11:

• AÉRODYNAMIX
  Watching a flight of Romans, the Druid Aerodynamix set out to conquer the sky. He decided to make all his forest friends fly!
  
  

• ENIGMATIX
  With great talent and imagination, the Druid Enigmatix invents machines that go up and down... And the truth is, he doesn't really know what they're for!
  
  

• LAVOMATIX
  The Lavomatix Druid is the inventor of the bucket seat. Between racing and washing clothes, he's made up his mind!
  
  

• ÉTAMINE
  To prepare her potions, Etamine, the Druidess, stirs... And when she stirs, she TOUCHES!!!! So much so, that it makes her house go round.
  
  

• HYDROLIX
  The Hydrolix Druid has invented a machine to go up the river, and everyone's enjoying it! Come on, let's go for a boat ride.
  
  

But the little ones won't be left out either, as a new play area, fully secured and under constant video surveillance, awaits them. And if you fancy a game of hide-and-seek, Idefix has hidden away in various parts of his world. It's up to the kids to find him!

To mark the occasion, Parc Astérix has decided to treat families with two exclusive offers, including free admission for children under 7 until July 4, 2014.

The new zone as told by its creators :

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Parc Astérix offered a special day on Saturday, May 17, 2014. The day marked theofficial inauguration of the Forêt d'Idefix in the presence of Teddy Riner. The park was open until 10pm at no extra charge. Strollers were thus able to enjoy the attractions for longer, theRTL2 Pop-Rock Party entertainment and then the fireworks display.

Parc Astérix in 2014 is :

• 6 themed worlds and fun-filled settings
• 35 attractions for an explosion of sensations
• 3 major live shows for a cascade of emotions

This year, the focus is on comic strip characters and street performances. It's a return to the park's original vocation, with a greater emphasis on the closeness of the characters and the humor of the author. So don't be surprised if you get a ticket for pedestrian speeding. To this end, the Gallic Village is opening its doors wide. The number of interventions is increasing, and houses are opening up again to host exhibitions and events.

And there's more to come. The park has decided to expand even further over the next 5 years. Next year, a new show and in 2016, a large thrill ride are on the program. A park that's constantly renewing itself, we're back for more.

This 2014 edition will also offer several nocturnes to the public. Usually reserved for CEs, they are now open to all, offering sound and light shows with water jets and other surprises. A special nocturne is scheduled for early June to celebrate the 25th anniversary in style.

To enhance visitor satisfaction, the park has set up wi-fi terminals in the play area and in the queues, so you can play while you pass the time. Kiosks in the biggest attractions will tell you where to go for the shortest wait. So no time is wasted.

Of course, we'll be back again this year with Le Lutèce Plage and its summer events, and Peur sur le Parc for All Saints' Day, the dates of which are still to be announced.

Between the dolphin show, the water games at Lutèce Plage, the thrills of Oziris, the scares of Halloween and the Forêt d'Idéfix for children, Parc Astérix has something to please families, couples and young people alike. For a whole day's fun, head for the village of the irreducibles.
