With just 4 stations along a route of only 1.3 km, Line 3bis is the shortest line on the Paris Métro. It serves the eastern part of the capital, with the Porte des Lilas terminus on the border between the 19th and 20th arrondissements, as well as the town of Les Lilas in Seine-Saint-Denis, and Gambetta station at the other end, close to Père Lachaise Cemetery. It also has two stations in the 20th arrondissement: Saint-Fargeau, in the Télégraphe district, and Pelleport, just a short walk from Tenon Hospital.
Line 3bis was originally an extension of Line 3 , built during the 1910s and brought into service in the early 1920s. It was separated from the original line in 1971 and has operated independently ever since, while Line 3 was extended to Gallieni, its current terminus. The Paris Métro’s Line 3bis also connects to Line 11 and tramway T3b at Porte des Lilas station, and to Line 3 at Gambetta.
Although short, line 3bis can also experience service disruptions. Whether caused by a technical issue or a passenger incident, construction work, service interruptions or slowdowns, or station closures, here is the real-time information you need if you regularly use this line on the RATP network.
