What are your plans for the 14 July? You’re probably looking for a spot to celebrate and catch a spectacular fireworks display. It’s only natural: this date is a cornerstone of French life! It’s the day of the National Holiday. It commemorates, among other things, the storming of the Bastille, a pivotal moment linked to the French Revolution and the country’s history.
For the occasion, the whole of France is celebrating: between the bals des pompiers, the feux d'artifice including the one launched depuis la Tour Eiffel, and the traditional défilé militaire strolling along the Champs-Élysées, the lineup promises to be packed. And in the outskirts of Paris, the Île-de-France region is also in on the act!
Many Île-de-France towns unveil a wonderful lineup of festivities to enjoy with family, friends, or even a loved one. Some of them, located in the inner ring, are within easy reach by metro. This is the case for the town of Kremlin-Bicêtre, situated on the outskirts of Paris in the department of Val-de-Marne and accessible thanks to lines 7 and 14.
The Kremlin-Bicêtre invites you to join us on July 14, 2026 at Bicêtre Park for a lively and welcoming program!
On July 14, Bicêtre Park will serve as the stage for the national celebration. From 5:30 p.m., the evening will kick off with a republican aperitif offered by the Town Hall, followed by a participatory picnic and a refreshment stand run by the Villejuif firefighters, who will help the Kremlinois come together or make new connections around the table.
As for the more indulgent, the food trucks will also be on hand, and at 7 p.m. the festivities will continue with music thanks to a diverse lineup that will have generations dancing together in a convivial, unifying moment. Then, at 11 p.m., all eyes will turn to the sky for the traditional fireworks that will close the evening with a bouquet of vibrant colors.
