July 14th is a key date in France since it is the National Holiday. It’s an opportunity for the French to celebrate their attachment to the Republic and to the values of liberty, equality, and fraternity. To mark the occasion, the country goes all out with a festive day punctuated by celebrations, the firefighters' balls, and fireworks.
Île-de-France is not to be outdone! Across the region, numerous towns are taking part in the festivities and unveiling their own program. Looking for a plan in the Val-de-Marne (94)? Great news: in Maisons-Alfort, celebrations for kids and adults alike stretch over two days!
Mark your calendars for July 13 and 14, 2026, to celebrate the National Day with a lineup that includes a firefighters' ball, a funfair, and, of course, a firework display launched from the banks of the Marne. It’s a stunning setting to marvel at the pyrotechnic show staged in partnership with the towns of Charenton and Saint-Maurice.
And while we’re at it, you can also take the opportunity to explore the École Vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort. If you’ve got a strong stomach, it’s the perfect chance to check out the Musée Fragonard, one of France’s oldest museums, dedicated to the anatomist Honoré Fragonard.
