The commune of Alfortville (94) is hosting a big celebration, and you’re all invited... On July 13, 2026, celebrate the national day in this town in the Val-de-Marne, and enjoy plenty of free activities for the whole family. Gather at the Île au Cointre Park to dance and admire an exceptional fireworks display.
Located in the heart of the 94 region, the town is bordered by Créteil, Charenton-le-Pont, Choisy-le-Roi and Maisons-Alfort. Maisons-Alfort and Alfortville share a special and unusual history. In the 19th century, Alfortville was just a district of Maisons-Alfort. It was a restaurateur by the name of Charles Perrié who began referring to the area as Alfortville, under the guise of humor. This new identity stuck, and Alfortville officially became a commune in its own right in 1885.
The city boasts several highlights, including a giant mural at the Town Hall, a mosaic by Fernand Léger, an astonishing tourist complex named Chinagora... And the Île de Cointre Park which hosts the Bastille Day festivities.
This year, Alfortville is lining up a musical performance starting at 9 p.m., a firework display at 11 p.m., followed by a grand popular dance party to close the evening in style. Brush up on your classics; you’ll be singing and dancing all night long. Plenty to have fun with for the bastille Day 2026!
