Fête Nationale 2026 in Fontenay-aux-Roses (92): a community dance, a concert and a DJ set on July 13

July 14th is the national holiday in France. For the occasion, the country comes alive with traditional celebrations including fireworks displays, military parades, republican picnics, popular balls and other festive events. Not far from the capital, the communes of the Ile-de-France region get in on the act, often offering a program the day before, to make the celebrations doubly special!

Residents of 92 and the town of Fontenay-aux-Roses, take note! On the occasion of the 2026 National Day, the town hall isn’t hosting a fireworks display this year, but other activities are stepping in, to the delight of both the very young and the young at heart, on July 13!

But what else can you do during the day, before taking part in the local festivities? Nice walks, certainly, with nearby Parc Sainte-Barbe or Square du Panorama. You can also visit the Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church and its listed stained-glass windows, or go a little further afield to the Parc de Sceaux and the Roseraie de L'Haÿ-les-Roses. In any case, there's plenty to keep you busy while you wait patiently for the evening!

Starting at 7 p.m., the Place du Général de Gaulle will turn into a real open-air stage, where Fontenaisiens and Fontenaisiennes will be free to sing, dance, have fun, and enjoy the entire evening!

7 p.m. – Kick-off of the evening and opening of the dining area

Bring your picnic to the outdoor dining area, or enjoy the terraces of Innovizza’s merchants, the market cafe, and the burger kiosk on Place du Général de Gaulle. All of it under a musical vibe provided by DJ Mark du Moov.

8 p.m. — Community dance party with live musicians

Get ready to dance, sing, and have fun!
