Asian temples and palaces were spectacular showcases for sacred works, precious objects and furniture, but above all for the lives of gods and princes. The works in the Musée Guimet's permanent collections evoke their structure, décor and magnificence.

Juliette Séjourné undertook a research-creation residency at the Musée Guimet to uncover some of the "invisible" aspects of museum life, and to devise a device for sensitive interaction with works of art. She shares her vision of the "hidden/secret" museum and invites us to put ourselves in the shoes of an object...
Juliette Séjourné is an artist and performer who blends theater, music and artistic installation. She works in a variety of contexts, from traditional stage spaces to installations and performances in various institutional and alternative venues.
A graduate in History from ENS Cachan and the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique de Paris, she has also trained in opera singing, classical and contemporary dance, as well as technical/technological tools, notably at Ircam.

Almost 25 years after the major restructuring of the Musée Guimet's museographic spaces and collections, Bruno Gaudin, the architect responsible for the renovation in association with his father Henri Gaudin (who will die in 2021), will look back on the period 1997-2001, and on the timeless architecture of the museum over the long term. Bernard Salignon, philosopher and professor of aesthetics at the University of Montpellier, and a close friend of Henri Gaudin, will share his views with Bruno Gaudin.
Henri Gaudin's books(Hors-les-murs, Édition Nicolas Chaudun, 2012, and Considération sur l'espace, Édition du Rocher, 2003) will be on display in the museum's bookshop-boutique.
