Open House at the Czech Embassy in Paris: reception rooms and garden on display

For Europe-wide Heritage Days, the Czech Republic Embassy in Paris will open its doors to the public on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Located just steps from the Tower Eiffel, the embassy invites visitors to tour its lavish reception rooms and its garden, normally closed to the public. This year, the program pays tribute to former Czech president Václav Havel with a specially curated route.

A photographic exhibition mounted on the embassy’s perimeter fence, and a second indoors, will trace the extraordinary life and impact of this remarkable man.

The visit will also include a symbolic stop at the Václav Havel Bench placed at the embassy entrance—a contemporary design feature honoring the former president’s humanitarian and democratic legacy.

Rounding out the program will be a panel discussion.
