Did you know? Although the Paris region is not particularly renowned for its vineyards, there are many vineyards in Paris. From the Clos des Morillons in the Parc Georges Brassens to the oldest vines in Paris, located in Montmartre, not forgetting the small vineyard at Bercy, lovers of red and white wines will find plenty to enjoy on their strolls through the vineyards.
In the Ile-de-France region too, some vineyards can be visited on special occasions. Such is the case of the Bougival vineyards , which are opening their fences to the curious on the occasion of the Journées du Patrimoine 2024. On the town of Bougival's website, the municipality states:
"Vines covered much of Bougival's agricultural land until phylloxera decimated the vineyards. The vines and bunches of grapes on our town's coat of arms bear witness to this viticultural past. But everything that's WINE iscoming back ... thanks to the nostalgic, passionate people who are bringing Bougival wine back tolife!"
