This summer, the weather in Paris is looking like 1, 2, 3 sunshine. Between rainy or stormy weather, and periods of heatwave, the climate is playing tricks on us. After weeks of cloudy spells punctuated by showers and sunny spells, it's time for the sun to shine on the Ile-de-France region this week. But it's likely to be a hot one, with temperatures expected to reach around 30°C in the Paris region.
According to Météo France, from the afternoon of Thursday August 7, 2025, temperatures will reach 28°C. The following day, Friday August 8, temperatures rise to reach 30°C. This trend will continue throughout the following week. A milder climate cannot be expected until the week of August 18.
As a reminder, a heatwave is an episode of high daytime and night-time temperatures, where evenings do not fall below 20 degrees, for a period of at least three days. Remember to hydrate regularly, stay in the shade as much as possible, wear hats or caps and avoid physical exertion during the hottest hours.
A trend that could herald a particularly hot summer ahead...
