Île-de-France: the best apple pie of 2023 is in Paris

After the prize for the best organic bread in Île-de-France, and before that for the best galette des Rois, discover the 2023 results of the competition for the best apple tart in Île-de-France ! Organized by the Syndicat des boulangers du Grand Paris, this 2023 edition was held on November 7, and the winners were announced on November 10.

As always, there were 75 entries (63 company directors and 12 apprentices). To decide between them, professionals and gourmets had the difficult task of tasting the various apple tarts and judging the quality of the tart bases, shortcrust, shortcrust and flaky pastry, based on a number of criteria including presentation, pastry taste, overall baking, taste harmony and cutability.

After deliberation, it was Eric Teboul who came out on top. His apple tart, which can be enjoyed at the Chez Meunier bakery and patisserie, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, is the best in the Paris region this year!

He is followed by André Devesa of La Boulangerie Bio in Meudon-la-Forêt , Hauts-de-Seine. Last but not least,Stéphane Guichard from Les Petits Gourmands in Athis-Mons , Essonne, takes third place.

Six Parisian bakeries and patisseries feature in the Top 10 of the 2023 ranking for the best apple pie in Île-de-France.
