There were 63 participants. In the end, only one patissier emerged victorious from the new 16th edition of the trophy for the best patisserie in Greater Paris. This year, participants handed in their creations on February 11 at the headquarters of the Greater Paris bakers' union, so that the jury could taste them and select the lucky winner.
To compete for first place, pastry chefs from Paris, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne were asked to present a batch of 8 individual-sized pastries, comprising 4 chocolate éclairs and 4 non-meringue lemon tarts. Based on several criteria (presentation, cream, baking, taste harmony...), the jury delivered its verdict on Friday February 14, 2025. So, what are this year's winners? After deliberation, Souad Idrenmouche from the B&S Alfortville bakery and patisserie in the Val-de-Marne region of France came out on top, taking first place on the podium.
The pastry chef from the 94 region is followed by Véronique Thevenin from Maison Thevenin in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. Last but not least, Baptiste and Maxime Sohier from Maison Sohier in Noisy-le-Grand, Seine-Saint-Denis, finish on the last step of the podium in this Paris region ranking.
