Following on from the competition for the best traditional baguette in Paris, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Val-d'Oise, Seine-Saint-Denis andEssonne, a new competition has now been launched, once again showcasing the expertise of the region's artisan bakers: that of the best organic farmhouse bread in the Paris region. This year, 64 artisan bakers submitted their organic bread.
After smelling, touching and tasting numerous organic loaves, the jury reached its verdict. To decide between them, the jury noted several criteria, including the bread's appearance, but also its baking, crumb, smell and taste.
And the prize for best organic bread 2025 in Île-de-France went to Basile Fourmont, head of the"Des racines et du pain" establishment in Clamart, Hauts-de-Seine. He is followed by Benjamin Vigreux of "Boulangerie Graines" in Paris, in the 20th arrondissement, and Alidina Bryan with "La Craquante" in Montgeron.
