What are the current traffic disruptions on line 1 of the Paris metro? We bring you real-time information.

Line 1 of the Paris metro was the very first to be built in Paris. Inaugurated in 1900 to coincide with the Universal Exhibition, it follows the capital's historic axis, running from Château de Vincennes to the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, passing through Jardin des Tuileries before crossing the Champs-Elysées to La Défense. Line 1 of the RATP network crosses Paris from East to West and vice versa over a 16.6km route, serving four towns: Vincennes and Saint-Mandé in Val-de-Marne (94), Paris and Neuilly-sur-Seine before reaching the La Défense business district in Puteaux, in Hauts-de-Seine (92).

It's one of the busiest lines in Paris, and connects with many of the other lines in the RATP and SNCF network. From line 1, you can reach all other Paris metro lines except lines 3 and 10, as well as three RER lines(A, B and D). Line 1 also connects to Gare de Lyon. It was the first line on the Paris public transport network to be automated, in 2011.
