Christmas window illuminations at BHV: traffic disruptions planned for inauguration

The BHV Marais Christmas Showcase illuminations open this Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in the Marais district(4th arrondissement). The launch, scheduled for 6:30pm, will be accompanied by an immersive show entitled "À l'heure de Noël" on the façade of the BHV, orchestrated by a play of lights and festive sounds. For the occasion, a section of rue de Rivoli will be closed to traffic from 6.30pm to 7.05pm, between rue des Archives and rue du Temple. Only priority vehicles will be allowed in this area during the event.

BHV Marais marks the opening of its festive season with window displays specially created by Limistic, a French illustrator known for her colorful universes. From November 6 to December 31, each window invites visitors on an enchanted stroll, presenting a cheerful scene populated by mischievous elves, who bring the magic of Christmas back to life with facetious antics and colorful surprises. This visual journey around the Rue de Rivoli is designed to amaze young and old alike, and is ideal for an outing with family or friends.

Once again this year, the Christmas windows at BHV, a veritable Parisian institution, tell unique, immersive stories that celebrate the spirit of Christmas. Far from being mere decorations, these windows captivate with animated scenes that reveal elves playing with the decorations, transforming the façade into a living tableau where the magic of the festive season takes shape before fascinated eyes.
