Over the past few years, night trains have made a comeback on the French railways, enabling passengers to reach a number of cities from the capital: Tarbes, Briançon, Nice, Toulouse... These destinations include Tarbes, Briançon, Nice and Toulouse, where you can fall asleep in Paris and wake up on the other side of France. In addition to being able to access the Ecrins massif, the Pyrenees or the Côte d'Azur thanks to thesenight Intercités lines, it is now possible to reach the Arcachon basin from Paris, from this Monday December 16, 2024.
As of this date, Biganos station in Gironde will be served by the night train line between Tarbes and Paris. The station's popularity is well established, not least because it's the main rail link to the Arcachon Basin. So, for the chance to fall asleep in Paris and wake up in the Arcachon basin, you can take the night Intercités train departing from Gare d'Austerlitz at 9pm or 9:40pm and arriving at Biganos station by 6am. Prices start at €26.50 per person on seats, or €38 for a night in couchettes!
