Transilien 's N line will be affected by major works from the weekend of May 3, 2025. According to SNCF Voyageurs, modernization work will be carried out until June 1, disrupting traffic between Versailles-Chantiers and Paris-Montparnasse. No trains will run on this section on the weekends of May 3-4, 10-11, 17-18 and May 31-June 1, 2025. So plan ahead to avoid being stuck on these weekends.
The work announced is designed to improve station accessibility, service quality and travel comfort. These operations require the total interruption of traffic between Versailles-Chantiers and Paris over several consecutive weekends. SNCF Voyageurs advises users to plan ahead or consider alternative routes.
The disruption does not stop at the Versailles-Paris section. Traffic will also be affected between Plaisir-Grignon and Versailles-Chantiers, particularly for commuters to and from Mantes-la-Jolie. A change of train will be necessary at Plaisir-Grignon, with some exceptions. Trains may run on this section on certain Sundays (May 4, 11, 18 and June 1), but on a reduced scale.
For Rambouillet, passengers will have to use the U line, which will remain active on this section. It should be noted that on the Dreux branch, trains will serve all stations, which is an exception to the disruption schedule.
SNCF recommends consulting timetables in advance and, if possible, choosing routes via other lines such as line U or RER C on suitable sections, or combining with substitute buses when these are available. Up-to-date information is available on official SNCF channels (website, app, station displays).
