After the drone scare, say goodbye to fireworks at Disney Tales of Magic, the new nocturnal and immersive show at Disney Tales of Magic, at Disneyland Paris! With the heatwave underway, the Seine-et-Marne police prefecture announced, in a decree published on 21 June 2026, the ban on fireworks, a temporary measure "taken under Article 4 of the 2023/DDT/SEPR/136 decree of 12 May 2023, due to the exceptional risk of fire", as explained in a prefectural press release.
In detail, the ban covers the pyrotechnic displays and entertainment fireworks in categories F1 to F4 and T1 to T2, as well as the lighting of festive fires (Saint John's fires, bonfires, campfires). The situation could stretch on indefinitely, with the decree stating in Article 2 that the prohibition must stay in place until the red heat alert is lifted.
As a result, the nighttime show Disney Tales of Magic, while staying on the schedule, will only feature projection mapping on the castle and the Main Street USA buildings, in addition to the show's music. Regarding the Disney Adventure World show, Disney Adventure World, Disney Cascade of Lights, only water mapping and drones are planned as well. No pyrotechnics for the same reasons. If you’re visiting on these heatwave days, expect shows trimmed of some pyrotechnic effects, and plan accordingly.
