The Fête de la Musique returns to Paris and across France on the Sunday, June 21, 2026. A free, open-to-all musical event, the Fête de la musique was launched in France in 1982 by Jack Lang, the culture minister at the time.
The festivities unfold in the streets of Paris and across the country, to promote musical diversity by encouraging amateur and professional musicians to perform in public spaces. An international celebration, the Fête de la Musique is present in more than 120 countries and offers a wide array of genres, ranging from classical music to rock, including jazz and electronic music, as well as blues and electro.
Musicians, singers, and DJs set up on street corners to introduce you to their music. The Music Day is a must on a Parisian's calendar.
This year again, every corner of the capital is gearing up to welcome a range of artists, including the Butte-aux-Cailles neighborhood, located in the 13th arrondissement. At the Apollonia restaurant, a pop-rock lineup awaits in force, ready to get you moving all night on June 21 and to properly celebrate this Music Day 2026.
