More than 40 years ago, Maurice Fleuret, Director of Music and Dance at the French Ministry of Culture, wanted music to be everywhere, and to pay tribute to this emotionally powerful art form. This desire gave birth to the Fête de la Musique in 1982. A free festival, open to all, giving all tastes and artists an equal chance to be heard.
A few years on, the Fête de la Musique has become an essential popular event, celebrating art and the arrival of summer, with concerts and musical entertainment in streets, parks, museums, cafés and restaurants, churches, and even ministries and official places!
In Paris, music fills every street corner: on this Sunday night June 21, 2026, we'll be singing and dancing all night long! Electro concerts, classical music, performances for kids, rock, pop, world music, reggae, blues, hip-hop... there are plenty of options. To help you make the most of this Music Day, here are the concerts to catch near you, across the districts of the capital.
This guide is currently under development. It will be updated regularly as new programs are announced. Bookmark this page, and check back often to make sure you don't miss anything!
