A crowd-pleasing cultural staple beloved by the French, the Fête de la musique returns on June 21, 2026. Every year, aspiring musicians grab their instruments to celebrate living music and let all genres shine for an entire day. In Paris, there are plenty of music tips to explore, from open-air electro showcases to classical music concerts, and events in the museums and the churches.

Everywhere else in Île-de-France, free concerts are also plentiful, with a string of events to discover in both the Hauts-de-Seine and the Yvelines. In this Île-de-France department, head to the town of Chatou, and more precisely the Parc des Impressionnistes, which is hosting an outdoor Fête de la musique a day ahead of the official date, i.e. Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Known for its rich architectural heritage, the town of Chatou is also celebrated for a range of events held throughout the year. Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to midnight – Parc des Impressionnistes – Free

"Chatou en Fête" turns the Île des Impressionnistes into a rock'n'roll guinguette, with concerts, fireworks and a food-truck village.

6:30 PM – Poil O’Brass Band
Disco classics and blistering covers from Poil O’Brass Band kick off the evening, unleashing the funk wherever they go. A roaming concert to follow, best enjoyed while dancing.

7:30 PM – The Ukulele Boboys
A quirky pop-rock cover act from the pop galaxy, Ukulele Boboys reimagines hits from the 60s to today with a Mexican twist.
9:00 PM – The Queens of Baal
With contagious energy and an ultra-danceable set, The Queens of Baal vow to get the crowd moving to the rhythms of Franz Ferdinand, Oasis, Indochine and many more…
11:00 PM – Pyrotechnic Show, Celestial Opera
Spotlight on the skies over the Île des Impressionnistes with the Celestial Opera show, a timeless moment performed to a selection of classical and contemporary pieces brimming with emotion.
All Evening
The food-truck village opens non-stop from 6:30 PM. A perfect moment to share with family or friends, either picnicking on the grass or dining at the on-site area.
