Heads up: Saint-Maur-des-Fossés cancels the 2026 Fête de la Musique. Following a prefectural decision and the shift to a red heatwave alert as of Sunday, June 21 at 12:00, the City announces the cancellation of the Fête de la Musique on Place de Molènes, organized by the town hall, as well as all other festive events tied to the Fête de la Musique. Parishioners are advised not to travel to these concerts.
June 21 means the traditional Fête de la musique! Once again this year, budding musicians will be out in force, bringing the music alive for a whole day.
Every year, on the summer solstice, this not-to-be-missed event celebrates the arrival of the new season with music. Created in 1982 by the French Ministry of Culture, this free, open-air event transforms the capital into an open-air stage where amateurs and professionals perform in the streets, parks and public squares. On June 21, Paris resounds to the rhythm of open-air concerts, offering a mosaic of sound that delights residents and visitors alike.
