On June 21, Fête de la musique is back. For more than 40 years now, this grand, joyful festival—both popular and festive—offers free live performances by well-known artists, while also giving rising talents a chance to shine. Because the Fête de la musique opens a real stage to aspiring musicians to perform, express themselves, gain exposure, and share their passion with a wide audience for an entire day.
Thus, every June 21, free concerts and DJ sets pop up all over the place—on the streets, of course, but also in parks, squares and gardens, bars and restaurants, museums and cultural centers, churches and institutions... All music genres are celebrated, from rap and rock to classical, jazz, French pop and electronic.
While music fans always have plenty of good plans in Paris, concerts are plentiful elsewhere in Île-de-France as well, such as in Meaux. This town in Seine-et-Marne once again tunes into the mood and takes part in Fête de la musique. So see you on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, 2026, across the city, to celebrate this great popular festival!
