The town of Issy-les-Moulineaux will be hosting a rich and eclectic Fête de la musique this Saturday, June 21, 2025. Rock, jazz, operetta and classical music... Discover the wonderful program that awaits you this year.

New edition for the Music Day ! On June 21, musicians, both amateurs and pros, plan to seize the moment to fill streets with living music and share their passion for sound with as many people as possible.

But what exactly is the Music Day? A large, popular, festive, and free event, Music Day gives musicians a platform to express themselves and gain exposure by spotlighting music across genres. Every June 21, rock, rap, classical, blues, jazz, metal, and French variety concerts flood the streets and a multitude of other venues—museums, churches, and cultural institutions alike.

Born in France in 1982, the initiative came from Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture, along with architect-designer Christian Dupavillon and Maurice Fleuret, appointed Director of Music and Dance in 1981. Since its inception, Music Day has traveled far and wide, even spreading to several other countries.

This year, the Music Day returns bigger and better with a lineup of free concerts not to miss on Sunday, June 21, 2026, across Paris and the Île-de-France region. If you’re in the Hauts-de-Seine, head to the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux, which offers several free concerts to catch at various spots around the commune, including on the Town Hall square, at the French Playing Card Museum, and at the city center médiathèque.
