Asterix by Alain Chabat, would you like some more? In 2021, we learned that the director of Mission Cleopatra had launched production of a CG-animated series adapted from Combat des Chefs, the seventh volume of the Asterix collection, published in 1966. To mark its 65th anniversary, Parc Asterix made a number of announcements related to the license, including the park's Christmas program, an exhibition at the Atelier des Lumières, and new details about the animated series.
In a making-of video, we discover Alain Chabat himself, with the album Le Combat des Chefs in hand, giving numerous details about the upcoming series. The series will be animated by Studio Tat Production, best known for the series Les As de la Jungle. It will consist of five episodes and is expected to be released on Netflix in the first half of 2025. The exact date, episode length and voice cast are not yet known.
