The Cannes Film Festival 2026 is fast approaching. Now that the official selection and the Un Certain Regard, as well as the selections for the Critics Week, the Directors' Fortnight and the ACID have been unveiled, and with the jury president now known, it’s time to reveal the full Un Certain Regard jury!
Following the British filmmaker, screenwriter and director of photography Molly Manning Walker, French actress Leïla Bekhti will be the president of the Un Certain Regard jury at the Festival de Cannes 2026.
To set the palmarès for this section, which celebrates emerging auteur cinema and new discoveries, it will be hosted by a four-member jury: Senegalese producer Angèle Diabang, Lebanese-born composer Khaled Mouzanar, Italian director Laura Samani, and French filmmaker Thomas Cailley.
This year, 19 films have been selected, including the five opening titles. As the opening film, screening on Wednesday, May 13, is Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma by Jane Schoenbrun. By way of reminder, last year it was the Chilean director Diego Céspedes’ debut feature, The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo, that won the Un Certain Regard Prize.
