This intriguing story is that of Mi bestia, the first feature film by director Camila Beltrán, which has been selected forAcid 2024.Acid is a parallel section of the Cannes Film Festival that highlights unique French and international works by emerging independent filmmakers.
Camila Beltrán 's first feature, starring Stella Martínez, Mayerly Murillo, Héctor Sanchez and Marcela Mar, draws on her childhood memories of Colombia in the 90s. After several experimental films(La Fiesta in 2006, Le Soleil Brille in 2007, La Mala Hija in 2010) and two short fiction films(Pedro Malheur, made in Tijuana in 2014; Pacífico Oscuro in 2020), Mi Bestia sees her take the plunge into feature-length fiction.
