Scream 8: Neve Campbell confirms her return as Sidney Prescott

Neve Campbell will return in Scream 8. The actress confirmed the news to the Associated Press in an interview released on November 2, 2026. Asked about her upcoming projects, she mentioned the eighth installment before assuring: “I’ll be in it.”

The announcement builds on Sidney Prescott’s return, which began in Scream 7. Neve Campbell has played this survivor since the first Scream, in 1996. Absent from the sixth installment, she reprised the role in the next one, directed by Kevin Williamson. Her involvement in the eighth film therefore confirms the continuity of this longtime heroine in the franchise.
