Murder, treasure hunts, thefts of priceless artifacts... There’s never a dull moment at the Château de Monte-Cristo! How about spending a weekend unraveling these intriguing and wildly entertaining mysteries? Enjoy a weekend of exploration and adventure while exploring this stunning château, nestled in the Yvelines.

We're all familiar with the great French writer Alexandre Dumas, author of the famous novels Les Trois Mousquetaires and Le Comte de Monte-Cristo. It's the latter that is honored in this estate, built in the 19th century at the instigation of Alexandre Dumas.

The castle may be majestic, but strange things happen here... Visitors may be confronted with dark affairs, and are obliged to use all their cunning and insight to find the culprits.

If gripping detective stories are your thing, then get ready for a thrill—more murders and thefts are set to take place over the coming weekends! The castle also offers a variety of outdoor games and activities suitable for the whole family.   • Murder Mystery:
    A murder has taken place at Monte-Cristo! We need your help to crack the case.
    Pay close attention to every detail, stay sharp, and trust your instincts! This interactive activity offers a fresh way to explore Monte-Cristo. No high-speed chases or timers, just a fun detective game suitable for families (from age 12—with a parent present) or friends.
    Pre-registration required. Limited spots available. Outdoors activity—please dress accordingly.
    Saturdays: March 21, April 11, May 30, June 6, September 26, and October 17, 2026, at 11 am, 2 pm, and 4 pm.

  • Treasure Hunt:
    Open to all, this scavenger hunt takes you through Monte-Cristo’s park in search of clues and riddles. Watch out for traps and beware of certain encounters—they might either help you or throw you off track…
    A fun activity for families or friends. (Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.)
    Sunday, March 22, and Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 2 pm to 5 pm (last admission at 4 pm).

  • Family Treasure Hunt:
    Find clues, decode messages, and complete challenges to discover Monte-Cristo’s hidden treasure.

    A valuable book has gone missing. Join our detective in solving the mystery! We’re calling on the keenest sleuths. Costumed actors will welcome your children—they’re panicked! Someone has stolen a precious volume. Your kids will surely help track it down—and maybe even catch the culprit!

    A one-of-a-kind role-playing scenario, tailored specifically to fit within the universe of Monte-Cristo Castle.

    Players take on fictional characters but experience very real adventures, influencing the story as they go.
