Put yourself in the shoes of a brilliant octopus and dive into a wild, hilarious adventure with Darwin's Paradox, a game brought to you by Konami and ZDT Studio. Coming to PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on April 2, 2026.

This is an escape room game. It's a survival challenge. It's... a completely wild creation from ZDT Studio and Konami, announced on February 13, 2025, during State of Play. Check out the trailer for Darwin's Paradox, an unexpected title that has already stolen our hearts. The game is set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on April 2, 2026.

The trailer for Darwin's Paradox:

Darwin's Paradox synopsis:

" Embark on a grandiose adventure worthy of the best animated films with Darwin, an octopus as endearing as he is intelligent, plucked from the ocean and trapped in a huge, mysterious industrial complex. Thanks to his extraordinary intelligence and incredible abilities (swimming, camouflage, and many other fascinating skills), help him overcome the most formidable traps and dangers in this captivating game that combines platforming, adventure and reflection."

Darwin's Paradox is a platform game in which the player, transformed into an octopus, must use his special abilities to survive. To get back to the ocean, you'll have to be flexible and clever, and escape numerous dangers... Some phases require logic and strategy to progress.

This first teaser gives us the impression of being immersed in an animated film. The game seems to have come straight out of an adventure in the Madagascar saga, with its famous penguins, masters of stealthy escape. Darwin's Paradox looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, but not without its difficulties.

Konami’s website hints at a conspiracy that could alter the course of humanity: this upcoming game might feature a storyline deeper than your typical platformer. Curious to try it out now? A free demo will be released on February 13, 2026—grab the chance to play before the official launch.
